Come along to the world's biggest coffee morning

Patients, visitors and staff at West Suffolk Hospital can enjoy a cuppa and piece of cake while raising vital funds for people with cancer at the world’s biggest coffee morning this Friday (30 September).

Organised by the hospital’s Macmillan volunteers, the event will take place between 10am and 1pm in the Macmillan Information Centre in the hospital’s outpatients department.

Everyone is welcome to drop in for a drink, piece of cake or biscuit. All proceeds will go to the Macmillan Cancer Support.

Wendy Marchant, Macmillan Information Centre manager, said: “We’re inviting patients, visitors and staff to join us on Friday for a chat, cuppa and piece of cake during what we hope will be our biggest event yet.

“The world’s biggest coffee morning is a fantastic fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support, with more than £8million raised across the country last year alone. All of that money helps provide vital services for people living with cancer, from Macmillan nurses to benefit advice, support centres and so much more.

“So do come along and help support this worthy cause.”

The coffee morning takes place between 10am and 1pm at the Macmillan Information Centre. For more information, ring 01284 713023 or email wendy.marchant@wsh.nhs.uk|
